Biography

I was born and raised in Greece, New York a suburb of Rochester. I attended Greece Odyssey High School where I graduated in June of 2004. During high school, I became introduced to graphic design through a observing at a graphic design agency for a day, and through a digital printing exploration post at Rochester Institute of Technology. After these experiences I decided that I wanted to attend college to study graphic design as I enjoyed changing computer technology, as well as, art.

In the Fall of 2004, I came to SUNY Oswego to study graphic design. After working during the Summer of 2007 at an internship designing corporate identities and taking web design classes, I decided that I wanted to shift my emphasis towards web design. after graduating with my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design, I decided to continue my studies at Oswego in the Masters of Arts program to research and learn more about multimedia and web design.

I started graduate school in Fall of 2008 and began by taking classes in Multimedia and Web Design to get a better understanding of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and ActionScript. During graduate school, I worked as project manager on several client interactive based client projects and worked on a SCAC Grant titled Physical Computing in Flash, where we studied how people can interact with a Flash based interface using different types of sensors. In the Summer of 2009, I was awarded a Graduate Festa Leadership Fellowship. As part of my fellowship placement, I worked at an advertising agency outside of Rochester learning about web design and development.

I graduated in May of 2010, shortly after graduating, I moved to Syracuse, NY to begin my career. Since moving to Syracuse I have had successful careers as an SEO Specialist, Web Designer/Developer and as Graphic Design Professor. I currently am working as a Front-End Developer & Site Administrator and teaching web design classes.
